Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Donatello Bradman and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ward.
Ward misses the shot to the body.
Ward takes a swing at Godin's ribcage but misses.
Ward clobbers Godin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ward looks to land a combination but Godin avoids it well.
Godin throws a leg kick but Ward sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Godin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Godin showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Godin content to control rather than advance.
Godin is nestled in close to Ward, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Godin works his way into full mount!
Ward is desperately trying to improve his position but Godin has a good base and remains in mount.

Godin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ward looks a forlorn figure.
Ward is squirming around, avoiding Godin's attempts to control the action.
Ward is trying to escape the mount but Godin keeps good control and instead manages to take Ward's back.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Godin's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

I really don't envy Ward right now.

Godin is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ward knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ward for a finish.
