The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Darko swings for the body but Cox moves out of range.
Donnie Darko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darko swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cox.

Darko looks to land a right hand but Cox moved out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cox.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Darko is looking to control Cox's arms but Cox gets an underhook and turns him. Now Darko has his back to the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cox digs a right hand underneath Darko's ribcage. Darko let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Cox loads up on a big right hand but Darko slips the punch.
Darko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cox.
Darko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cox lands a nice hook to Darko's body. Darko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Darko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Cox cracks Darko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cox has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Darko to stand back up!

Darko is rocked!
Cox lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Darko up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Cox from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Darko's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
