Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herb Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafeik Hollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by Down - Hail The Leaf. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herb Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafeik Hollis!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green dodges the punch combination from Hollis.
Nice sprawl there from Hollis as Green shoots in.

Hollis dives in and scores a takedown into Green's guard.

Green throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hollis escapes and throws Green's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hollis cracks Green with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Hollis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Green has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hollis lands a few punches from side control.
Hollis moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Green is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hollis is thwarting Green's attempts to control the position.
Green gets back to full guard.

Green throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Green keeping moving, preventing Hollis from controlling successfully.

Green working for a triangle but Hollis defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green is trying to control the position but Hollis postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Green has his foot on Hollis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hollis works his way back into a safe position though.
Hollis wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position.

Green is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hollis defends well.
Green seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Hollis is stalling in the full guard.
Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hollis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Green looking for a guillotine here but Hollis defends easily.

Green has a closed guard, preventing Hollis from standing up.
Hollis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hollis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Green seems keen to control Hollis's posture.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hollis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Green is looking for a triangle but Hollis pushes his legs off easily.
Green keeping moving, preventing Hollis from controlling successfully.
Hollis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hollis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Green is trying to control the position but Hollis postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herb Green dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hollis shoots in and gets a takedown into Green's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hollis has passed into half guard!

Hollis wants to pass the guard but Green is defending well.
Green works his way to full guard. Good work.
Herb Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hollis trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Green looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hollis is defending well. Green quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hollis has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Green celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Herb Green!
During a confident post fight interview, Herb Green thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
