Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Leighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall McMurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leighty's entrance music is Cowboy Dan. A fine choice. McMurphy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I own Golly God.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMurphy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Leighty counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've been informed that McMurphy has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Leighty throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Randall McMurphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMurphy throws the kick towards the body but Leighty avoids it.

McMurphy's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dan Leighty.
