Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Huey Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Ron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis comes to the cage accompanied by Walk. Billy Ron is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Huey Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Ron!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Ron. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ron.
Ron moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.
Ron throws an overhand right that lands on Lewis's shoulder, as Lewis tries to avoid the shot.
Jab from Ron.
Ron misses with a lunging right hand
and Lewis counters with an inside leg kick.
Lewis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ron slips a jab and a cross from Lewis.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lewis moves out of range as Ron strikes.
Ron throws a low kick, looking for Lewis's leg but Lewis calmly moves out of range.
Billy Ron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lewis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ron.
Ron thows a body shot but no joy.
Ron leaves Lewis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lewis shoots in and drives through. Ron sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ron fails to land with a series of punches.
Ron scores with a punch to the head.
Lewis fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Huey Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ron feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lewis sprawling to the canvas! Lewis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ron finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ron throws a hook to the side of Lewis's head but Lewis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ron gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ron lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Lewis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A hook to the body from Ron.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Ron lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lewis backwards.
Ron tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ron lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lewis backwards.

Lewis is trying to break the clinch but Ron has him pressed against the cage.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ron just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ron is pushing Lewis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Ron prevents the takedown attempt.
Ron content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ron just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ron lands an uppercut.
Ron makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Ron scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Lewis has had enough of the clinch but Ron keeps him there for the moment.
Ron's coach down at Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ron's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ron scores with a shot to the side of Lewis's head.
Ron keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lewis's efforts to push away.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Ron.
Ron lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ron stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A shot in the inside from Ron.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ron creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ron lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Ron leaning his opponent against the cage.
Ron gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lewis.
Ron is working Lewis over against the cage.
Ron gets through Lewis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Ron.
Ron lands with a short shot to the head.

Ron lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ron scores with a shoulder strike.
Oh Lewis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ron digs a right hand underneath Lewis's ribcage. Lewis let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Lewis seems to have got his legs back now.

Ron drops Lewis onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Lewis is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Ron lands with a light punch inside.
Ron creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Lewis's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Lewis drops to his knees and Ron pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Ron!
Post fight, Billy Ron took to the microphone: 'WOOOHOOOO WOOPED DEM ASS BO!!! WHO NEXT?!!?'.
In defeat, Huey Lewis stepped up to the mic, saying 'I guess I need more training'.
