The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Diaz cracks Mitchell with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mitchell slips under a jab.
Mitchell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Diaz.
Mitchell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.
Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mitchell.
Mitchell avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diaz misses the jab.

Nice uppercut lands for Diaz. That snapped Mitchell's head back.

Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Mitchell gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Diaz gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

A less than humble Nigel Diaz misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Matthew Mitchell stepped up to the mic, saying 'He showed up tonight and I didn't. Congrats man'.
