The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knott scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Knott goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Funk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Knott but great work by Funk.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Buster Knott was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Knott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Funk avoids it really well and circles away.
Funk is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Knott shoots for a takedown but Funk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Funk seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Phat Funk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buster Knott.
Knott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Funk tries to avoid it but Knott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Funk to the ground. Funk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Funk avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Knott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Funk as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
