Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pierre is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Man Ah Bad Man. Jack The Ripper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The Ripper manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Ripper looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack The Ripper wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
St Pierre throws a head kick but The Ripper moves out of range.

and The Ripper counters with a big uppercut that knocks St Pierre off his feet! The Ripper dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Georges St Pierre has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Ripper has knee on belly and moves into mount.
St Pierre is still in real trouble! Can The Ripper finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jack The Ripper has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
No luck for St Pierre with that takedown attempt.
Jack The Ripper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges St Pierre.

The Ripper is looking to cinch up a triangle. St Pierre throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to The Ripper's body to avoid the submission. The Ripper has instead reached around St Pierre's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! The Ripper arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Georges St Pierre was interviewed post fight and said 'I need to make a point now. I can't sleep at night. I'm going crazy. I need to relax. I need to get out for awhile. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I feel like I left everything out, but I need to keep some of my life personal...'.
