Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morris comes to the cage accompanied by Clique . Fedor Shlemenko acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leroy Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fedor Shlemenko!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko lands with an overhand left.
Morris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shlemenko.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shlemenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No joy there for Shlemenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Shlemenko drives through and clinches with Morris against the cage.

Morris tightens his grip and picks Shlemenko up, before dumping him to the ground. Shlemenko manages to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Morris wants to control from the top but Shlemenko keeps moving.
Shlemenko wants to get back to his feet but Morris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Morris is pushing down on Shlemenko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shlemenko is fighting to maintain full guard but Morris has managed to sneak the leg through.
Morris not doing much here.
Morris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shlemenko is in trouble now - Morris has advanced to mount!
Morris trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Morris tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Morris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shlemenko for as long as he can get away with.

Morris goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Shlemenko is on top in guard.
Shlemenko is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leroy Morris wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Shlemenko throws a low kick but it's checked well by Morris.
Shlemenko looks to land a left hand but Morris moved out of range nicely.
Shlemenko misses with a head kick.
Shlemenko is looking to clinch but Morris is avoiding it.

Morris ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Morris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shlemenko throws a head kick that misses.

Morris ducks right into an uppercut from Shlemenko.
Morris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shlemenko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morris somewhat.
Shlemenko throws a right and a left that Morris avoids nicely.

Morris shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shlemenko's guard.
Shlemenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morris wants to pass the guard but Shlemenko is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shlemenko moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Morris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shlemenko did well to prevent Morris getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Morris seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Shlemenko has recovered full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morris wants to pass the guard but Shlemenko is keeping the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Shlemenko wants to land a leg kick but Morris is out of range.

Shlemenko thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Morris if he has to take too many more of those.

Shlemenko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Morris finds it's way round the side to connect with Shlemenko's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morris wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shlemenko, who protects the arm well.

Morris has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Shlemenko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Morris yanks on the arm and Shlemenko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Morris.
