Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin has chosen Dean Martin - LITTLE OLD WINE DRINKER ME as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Cerrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Martin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Martin's head.

Martin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cerrone was covering up waiting for the punch and Martin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Martin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cerrone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Martin is looking to work some ground and pound but Cerrone has wrist control.

Cerrone throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Martin because Cerrone loaded up on that one.
Martin told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cerrone misses with a head shot.
Cerrone sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Martin dominated that round.
That's time! Cerrone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Cerrone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cerrone's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cerrone is defended easily by Martin.
Cerrone clobbers Martin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cerrone connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Martin's hands.

Martin throws a push kick but Cerrone slaps the foot to one side.

Martin moves in looking to clinch but Cerrone pushes him off.
Cerrone looks to land a left hand but Martin moved out of range nicely.

Martin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cerrone manages to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cerrone moves away.

Cerrone is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Cerrone looks for a takedown but Martin sprawls well.

Martin misses with a series of wild punches.
Cerrone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Martin as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cerrone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cerrone misses with an uppercut.
A head kick from Cerrone lands but Martin takes it in his stride.
Cerrone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martin sprawls well. Martin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cerrone gets slowly back to his feet.
Martin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cerrone's head.
Martin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Cerrone dives in and grabs Martin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes down on Cerrone's head and hops out.

Martin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cerrone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Martin throws a hook but Cerrone avoids it easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Martin needs to keep his hands up - Cerrone had a free shot at his head there.
Martin just misses with a punch to the body.
Cerrone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Martin.
Cerrone shoots in looking for a takedown. Martin tries to sprawl out of it but Cerrone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Cerrone will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Cerrone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cerrone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cerrone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martin is fending him off so far but Cerrone persists. Nope, Martin circles away and we're back to standing.

Cerrone closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Cerrone.
I think Cerrone has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
