The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fossez connects with the punch.
Gonzaga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fossez circles away quickly and effectively.
Gonzaga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fossez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fossez scores with a hook.
Fossez looks to land a right hand but Gonzaga moved out of range.
Fossez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A nice combination there by Fossez.

It looks like Helio Gonzaga has been cut.
Fossez takes a head kick and keeps coming.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Fossez lands a jab.
Fossez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fighters circling - Fossez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fossez takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gonzaga misses with a two punch combination.
Fossez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
