Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Son Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasha Beljajev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beljajev dives in and scores a takedown into Holmes's guard.
Beljajev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Holmes is trying to keep Beljajev in close.
Beljajev controls from within his opponent's guard.
Holmes wants to sweep here but Beljajev controlling him for the moment.
Beljajev loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Beljajev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sasha Beljajev wasn't active enough on the ground.
Beljajev lands a head kick. Holmes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Beljajev gets a double leg takedown into Holmes's guard.
Holmes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beljajev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Beljajev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Beljajev wants to control from the top but Holmes keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sasha Beljajev was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Beljajev circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Holmes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Beljajev follows Holmes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
