PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan-Sung Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jung comes to the cage accompanied by Waiting Room. Kersikov has chosen Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jung has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kersikov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round but I would say that Chan-Sung Jung will probably get the nod.

Jung throws a front kick aimed at Kersikov's knee but Kersikov avoids it well.
Kersikov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
