Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Katsu Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keiran Corkhill!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakamura rushes Corkhill and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Nakamura manages to pull guard.
Corkhill works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Nakamura pushes Corkhill off and gets back to his feet.
Corkhill misses with a takedown attempt

and Nakamura counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Corkhill!
Corkhill wants to control but Nakamura postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corkhill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nakamura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nakamura stands up and beckons Corkhill to his feet.
Corkhill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Nakamura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nakamura stays in close to Corkhill's body and controls the position.
Nakamura has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Corkhill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nakamura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Corkhill is tightening it up a little... Nakamura has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Nakamura reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nakamura taps out! Nice BJJ there by Corkhill!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Keiran Corkhill!
