PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Porcuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micha Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by say. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Micha Wolf enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arturo Porcuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Micha Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porcuna closes the distance and clinches up with Wolf, looking for a takedown. Porcuna pushes Wolf against the cage but Wolf circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wolf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wolf looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Porcuna!

Wolf's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Porcuna wants to control but Wolf postures up.

It looks like Wolf might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Wolf is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Porcuna is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Wolf decides to stand up, so the ref orders Porcuna to his feet.

Well, if Wolf is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Micha Wolf was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Porcuna gets caught flat footed, as Wolf shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wolf throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Porcuna tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wolf is in Porcuna's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Porcuna has a closed guard, preventing Wolf from standing up.

Porcuna tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wolf is able to avoid easily.

Porcuna is fighting to break Wolf's control of his arms but Wolf is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Porcuna throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wolf's waist but Wolf gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Porcuna off to one side.

Let's hope that Wolf has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Porcuna escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wolf gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wolf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Arturo Porcuna has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Micha Wolf is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Wolf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
