PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez has chosen Megadeth-Trust as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Machado throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ramirez's head.
Ramirez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Machado tries to clinch there but Ramirez circles away.

Machado closes the distance and clinches.
Ramirez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Machado avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ramirez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Luiz Machado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Ramirez.
Ramirez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Machado fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machado as he avoids it easily.
Ramirez's corner calls for a 1-2. Ramirez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ramirez goes for a double leg but Machado avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Machado continues to drive forward.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Machado takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ramirez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Machado is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Machado tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Ramirez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Luiz Machado is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ramirez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Machado is trying to get back to his feet.

Ramirez cracks Machado with a big right hand but Machado just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ramirez is trying to move to mount but Machado reverses beautifully and ends up in Ramirez's guard.

Machado has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ramirez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Machado is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ramirez pulls down on the head and he's put Machado to sleep! This one is all over!
