Hanso's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Great Takeru. The key to victory for Masaru Hanso has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scholes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hanso as he avoids it easily.

Hanso decides to stand back up. Hanso steps back and let's Scholes get back to his feet.

Scholes shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanso tries to sprawl out of it but Scholes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hanso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hanso feints and as Scholes raises his hands in defense, Hanso changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scholes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hanso is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Scholes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hanso's back instead.

Scholes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hanso manages to get himself to full guard.

Scholes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Scholes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Scholes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Scholes has an Americana. Hanso didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Scholes is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Scholes hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
