PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shen Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Schmidt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to cult of personality. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Woo misses.
A cross from Schmidt lands.
Schmidt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Woo just misses with a punch to the body.
Woo throws a hook but Schmidt blocks it.
Schmidt misses with a looping right.
Woo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Woo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Schmidt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Woo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A swing and a miss from Schmidt.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that Woo avoids nicely.
Woo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Schmidt eats them both and turns towards Woo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woo connects with a body shot that sends Schmidt's belly button to the back.

Shen Woo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schmidt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Woo lands a lovely overhand right.
Woo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Woo. Those never looked like landing.

Schmidt smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Schmidt cracks Woo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Schmidt has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Woo to stand back up!

Woo is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Woo is still on wobbly legs! Can Schmidt finish him?
A left lands for Woo.
Woo seems to have recovered his senses.
Woo just misses with a punch to the body.
Schmidt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schmidt, as that shot connected.

Schmidt sends Woo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Schmidt is motioning to the referee to let Woo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Schmidt throws a wild body kick that Woo sees coming a mile off.
Woo scores with a decent looking hook.
Schmidt throws a jab when Woo was well out of range.

Schmidt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Woo sprawling to the canvas! Woo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Schmidt finish him?!
Schmidt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Joe to Pro in the buildup to the fight.
Woo jabs Schmidt to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Schmidt looks to throw the jab but Woo is out of range.
Schmidt connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Woo out cold! This one is over in a flash!
