And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyson Niel!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hughes wants to clinch up but Niel keeps it at a distance.
Hughes shoots in but Niel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hughes shoots in but no luck this time.
Hughes doesn't manage to clinch there - Niel circles away.
Niel tries to clinch but Hughes moves out of range.
Hughes darts in looking for a takedown but Niel gets double underhooks and turns Hughes into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dee Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Niel drops Hughes with a big knee straight up the middle! Hughes is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Hughes is rocked!

It looks like Dee Hughes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Niel rushes Hughes and presses him up against the cage.
Oh Hughes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Niel has Hughes pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Hughes is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Niel - that's hurt Hughes badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hughes is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hughes doesn't seem to be complaining.
