The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Duffy swats away the attempt to clinch by Manuel.
Manuel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Manuel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Duffy blocks a head kick by Manuel.
Left hook, right uppercut from Manuel.
Manuel tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Duffy counters with an inside leg kick.
Duffy swats away the attempt to clinch by Manuel.
Manuel is looking to clinch.
Duffy circles away from the clinch attempt
and Duffy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Duffy darts in looking for a takedown but Manuel gets double underhooks and turns Duffy into the cage.
Manuel is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Duffy is defending well.
Manuel can't get the takedown.
Santiago Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcel Manuel.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Duffy just leaning against Manuel, taking a breather.

Manuel is trying to break the clinch but Duffy is controlling him.
Manuel is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Duffy is defending well for now.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Manuel.
Manuel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Duffy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Duffy lands a knee to the body.

Manuel manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Duffy scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Manuel is striking from the bottom but Duffy uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Manuel throws some strikes from the bottom but Duffy isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! Manuel is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for Duffy!
