Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josiah Holman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Lamas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamas has chosen Run This Town as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Lamas!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lamas.
Holman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holman wants it to stay on the feet.
Lamas shoots in for a takedown but Holman shows good takedown defense.
Josiah Holman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Lamas.

Lamas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Holman uses from the top position.
Holman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
