Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maikeru Hyuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Laprise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyuga pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Laprise lands a right hook to the body.
Some wild striking there from Laprise.
Hyuga with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Laprise to score with a decent uppercut.
Hyuga fails with the takedown.
Hyuga looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Laprise fails to land with a series of punches.
Hyuga misses with a right hand
and Laprise counters with a nice uppercut.
Laprise avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Laprise looks to land a combination but Hyuga avoids it well.

and Laprise counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hyuga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laprise's waist but Laprise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hyuga off to one side.

Hyuga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maikeru Hyuga.

Hyuga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Laprise is fending him off so far but Hyuga persists. Nope, Laprise circles away and we're back to standing.

Hyuga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Laprise is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hyuga scores with a couple of nice shots.

Laprise scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hyuga manages to mount him!
Hyuga lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Hyuga tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hyuga lands a big shot there that rocks Laprise but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hyuga is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Laprise is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Hyuga shoots in but no luck this time.
Laprise lands with a nice body punch.
Laprise rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hyuga moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Maikeru Hyuga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Laprise throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Laprise crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hyuga - the referee stops the clock and Laprise gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hyuga. Laprise manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hyuga dives in and grabs Laprise's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laprise pushes down on Hyuga's head and hops out.
Laprise swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hyuga.

Laprise feints a jab promting Hyuga to slip. Laprise then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hyuga slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Laprise is breathing heavily.
Laprise cracks a nice hook into Hyuga's ribs.
Hyuga tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Laprise defends well and Hyuga ends up having to push Laprise into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Maikeru Hyuga will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hyuga, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
