Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chembakwu Azuibike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Epic Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chembakwu Azuibike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Epic Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.

Gracie closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Azuibike quickly recovers to half guard.
Gracie working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Azuibike's thigh. Azuibike counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Azuibike dives on top into guard.
Gracie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Azuibike puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Azuibike escapes and gets back to his feet.
Azuibike stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Azuibike wants it to stay on the feet.
Chembakwu Azuibike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Epic Gracie.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azuibike tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Azuibike defends the submission attempt.
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Azuibike is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Azuibike tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gracie dives in and grabs Azuibike's left leg, looking for a takedown. Azuibike pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Azuibike avoids it really well and circles away.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Azuibike pinned against the cage. Azuibike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chembakwu Azuibike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Epic Gracie.
Gracie misses with a head kick.

Azuibike gets a double leg takedown into Gracie's guard.
Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Azuibike tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Azuibike scores with a head kick. Gracie tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Gracie has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Azuibike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
