The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Churchill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Silva scores with a one two! Churchill had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Churchill 's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Churchill controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Churchill gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight stays on the outside here - Churchill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Churchill is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Churchill lands with a punch from half guard.
Churchill slips a nice elbow through Silva's hands, connecting with Silva's forehead.
Churchill looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Churchill has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Churchill steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Churchill !
