Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto comes into the arena with Reset the Future-Mind Flow/ blaring out of the sound system. Lance Waters is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Waters moves in looking to clinch but Augusto pushes him off.

Lance Waters has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

It looks like Miguel Augusto has been cut.
Waters throws a low kick, looking for Augusto's leg but Augusto calmly moves out of range.

Augusto swats away the attempt to clinch by Waters.
Augusto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Waters can pounce on him.

Augusto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Waters throws a hook to the side of Augusto's head but Augusto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Augusto darts in looking for a takedown but Waters gets double underhooks and turns Augusto into the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lance Waters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Augusto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Waters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Augusto is proving hard to escape from.

Waters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Augusto swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Waters must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Waters is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

I would just about give that final round to Lance Waters.
Well Waters has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
