With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jannis Arvanitidis!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Arvanitidis or perhaps it was just good defense by Burns which made him look bad.
Burns tries to clinch but Arvanitidis moves away

and Arvanitidis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Burns's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Arvanitidis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Arvanitidis prevents Burns from getting back to his feet.
Burns has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Burns on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Burns tries to get out of the position.
Arvanitidis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Burns is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Arvanitidis asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arvanitidis tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Arvanitidis prevents Burns from escaping the position.
Burns struggling a bit here.
Burns is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Arvanitidis is controlling him well.
Burns is working to avoid the ground and pound but Arvanitidis connects with a decent elbow.
Arvanitidis grinds an elbow into Burns's temple.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Burns is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Arvanitidis has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Burns is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Millions Top Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Arvanitidis cracks Burns with a big elbow.

Arvanitidis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Arvanitidis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
