Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aku Kuat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdivia Chinelinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chinelinho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kuat, pushing him back against the cage.

Kuat pulls guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Chinelinho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chinelinho might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kuat haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kuat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chinelinho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kuat is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chinelinho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
