Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Galasso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Gyeong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gyeong has chosen Intro as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Enzo Galasso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jun Gyeong!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galasso blocks a head kick by Gyeong.
A combination from Galasso does no damage.
Gyeong tries to clinch there but Galasso circles away.
Gyeong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Galasso paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gyeong lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Gyeong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Galasso misses with a series of wild punches.

Gyeong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gyeong working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Gyeong is looking for a kimura but Galasso is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gyeong to get the leverage.
Well, if Gyeong is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gyeong perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Galasso is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gyeong pulls his head out easily.

Gyeong takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gyeong in particular looking to stall.

Gyeong is nestled in close to Galasso, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Galasso seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
It looks like Gyeong might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gyeong gets to his feet. Galasso looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Gyeong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Galasso's guard.
Gyeong must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gyeong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Gyeong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Galasso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gyeong has managed to get both his arms back between Galasso's legs - danger averted.

Gyeong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Galasso defends it easily.

Galasso postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gyeong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Galasso, into his guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gyeong is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Galasso has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gyeong lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A thudding body kick lands there by Gyeong!

Gyeong rushes Galasso and presses him up against the cage.

Gyeong is trying to trip Galasso. He has hold of a leg but Galasso is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gyeong persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Galasso is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gyeong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Galasso has an active guard here but Gyeong has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gyeong decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Gyeong jumps guard and drags Galasso to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Galasso drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gyeong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gyeong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gyeong!

Gyeong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Galasso lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Galasso.
No joy there for Galasso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Galasso is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gyeong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gyeong has escaped and now he's on top!

Let's hope that Gyeong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Galasso throws a hook but Gyeong avoids it easily.

Jun Gyeong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Galasso's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Galasso seems a little lost for a moment, as Gyeong dominates the positioning.

Gyeong has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Gyeong turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gyeong manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Galasso is trying to pull guard but Gyeong has him pressed against the cage.
Galasso blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Gyeong digs a right hand underneath Galasso's ribcage. Galasso let out a lung full of air as it connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gyeong is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Galasso presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Galasso tries to pull guard but Gyeong holds him up against the cage and eventually Galasso drops back down to his feet.

Jun Gyeong is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Enzo Galasso. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gyeong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Galasso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gyeong tries to close the distance and clinch but Galasso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jun Gyeong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gyeong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
