Ernandez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ernandez showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ernandez looking for a submission but Carlson manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Ernandez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carlson's guard.

Ernandez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ernandez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carlson is just riding it out for now. Ernandez eventually gives up the hold.
