PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Zertiis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boys. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Zertiis!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Zertiis darts in looking for a takedown but Filipovic gets double underhooks and turns Zertiis into the cage.

Zertiis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zertiis wants to land a leg kick but Filipovic is out of range.
Zertiis takes one to the chin there.

Zertiis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zertiis showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zertiis stops Filipovic from getting back to his feet.

Zertiis decides to stand and escape the position.
Filipovic scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Filipovic!
Filipovic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zertiis.
Filipovic lands with a hook. Zertiis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Filipovic has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Madz in the buildup to the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zertiis tries to score with a low kick but Filipovic moves his leg out of the way.
