Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hilton Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dalton tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dalton trying to control from the bottom.
Dalton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control.
Gracie thows a huge punch but Dalton dodges it nicely.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dalton sees it coming and defends easily.
Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dalton is refusing to be controlled, as Gracie sits in half guard.
Gracie is just content to waste time from the top position. Dalton takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Gracie sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bruno Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gracie gets tackled into the cage by Dalton. Dalton maintains the clinch.

Dalton gets control of Gracie's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dalton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving.
Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Gracie content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Gracie throws a strike but Dalton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Gracie wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dalton is now in half guard.

It looks like Dalton is going to stand back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bruno Gracie.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dalton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dalton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Dalton is now in Gracie's guard.

Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dalton has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends and breaks Dalton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bruno Gracie!
