Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Nunes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Mann!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mann tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nunes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nunes looks for a takedown but Mann sprawls well.
Mann throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nunes was covering up waiting for the punch and Mann finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mann trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mann wants to pass the guard but Nunes is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nunes throwing short punches from the bottom.
Mann stands up from Nunes's guard - Mann perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nunes gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mann breaks from the clinch.
Mann scores with a head kick.
Nunes clinches.
Mann breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nunes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mann closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nunes quickly recovers to half guard.
Nunes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nunes.
Nunes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mann defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mann engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Mann trying to move into half guard but instead Nunes has managed to sweep!
Mann has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nunes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mann.
Nunes content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Nunes trying to control the position but Mann is working away.
Mann is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nunes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mann keeps working.
Mann regains half guard.
Nunes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nunes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mann knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nunes drops an elbow to the side of Mann's head.
Nunes wants to take a breather but Mann is having none of it.
Mann is trying to stand.
Nunes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Nunes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mann is just riding it out for now. Nunes eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mann regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brian Mann will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nunes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mann is trying to defend but Nunes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mann wants to control but Nunes is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gustavo Nunes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nunes wants to take a breather but Mann is having none of it.
Mann trying to hold on to Nunes's head to control him but Nunes postures up.
Mann pushes Nunes off but Nunes dives into side control.
Nunes stands up.
Nunes misses with a takedown attempt - Mann sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A head kick misses from Mann.

Mann is looking to clinch.
Nunes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nunes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Nunes wants to control but Mann is keeping him busy.

Mann tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nunes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mann on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Nunes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mann wants to get back to his feet but Nunes is dominant here and he's now got Mann's back!
Mann is breathing heavily.
Mann tries to break free.
Mann trying to control but not successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
I really don't envy Mann right now.

Nunes trying to control momentarily.
Mann trying to control the hands but Nunes breaks the grip.
You can see the frustration on Mann's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nunes throwing damaging strikes from the back! Mann could be in trouble here!
Mann can't escape the position.
Nunes has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mann's body.
Nunes working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Mann is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Nunes has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Mann taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gustavo Nunes!
