Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aias Evander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aias Evander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damian Maia!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Evander.

Evander rushes Maia and presses him up against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Maia has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Evander is trying to force a seperation but Maia has the dominant position.
Maia keeps control of Evander as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Evander is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maia has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Evander is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Maia tightens his grip and picks Evander up, before dumping him to the ground. Evander manages to land in guard.

Maia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Maia wants to pass the guard but Evander is keeping the position.

Maia drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Maia seems to have locked his on tight now - Evander screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Maia, as he picks up the win!
