Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lj Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog comes to the cage accompanied by British Bulldog. Gibbs comes into a darkened arena with his song building. LJ Gibbs kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Burbank Bulldog could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lj Gibbs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lj Gibbs!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bulldog tries to avoid it but Gibbs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bulldog to the ground. Bulldog escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bulldog darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gibbs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bulldog pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bulldog connects with a nice short shot to Gibbs's temple.

We've been hearing good reports from Bulldog's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lj Gibbs hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gibbs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bulldog as he jumps to the side.
Bulldog shoots in looking for a takedown but Gibbs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bulldog's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Burbank Bulldog will probably get the nod.
