Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Spishak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas MacArthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spishak's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sleeping with Sirens. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sammy Spishak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas MacArthur!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacArthur throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spishak sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A punch combination from MacArthur misses.
Spishak moves forwards but MacArthur connects with a nice, crisp jab.
MacArthur has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Spishak is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Spishak checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Spishak throws a shot from downtown. MacArthur moves away and avoids it.
MacArthur lands with an overhand left.
Nice defenses there by Spishak.
Good exchange - Spishak coming out on top.

MacArthur throws a right and a left that Spishak avoids nicely.
MacArthur displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spishak throws out the jab.

MacArthur cracks a nice hook into Spishak's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spishak throws a lazy right hand but MacArthur sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
MacArthur dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Nice straight punches there by MacArthur. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of MacArthur.


Sammy Spishak's cut is getting worse.
MacArthur throws a looping overhand right but Spishak ducks down to avoid it.
MacArthur with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
MacArthur uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spishak.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spishak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Spishak has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from MacArthur.
MacArthur lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A punch lands to the side of MacArthur 's head but he takes it in his stride.

MacArthur throws a jab when Spishak was well out of range.
Spishak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
MacArthur jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Douglas MacArthur seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spishak is trying hard to land a takedown here. MacArthur sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
MacArthur avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
MacArthur throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Spishak stumbling backwards into the cage! Spishak bounces back off the cage towards MacArthur, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! MacArthur lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! MacArthur celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Douglas MacArthur!
