Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Victor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benoit Jutras!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jutras clinches up with Victor and pushes him back against the cage.
Jutras blocking some punches.
Victor goes for a takedown attempt but Jutras pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've been hearing reports that Victor has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jutras gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jutras lands a takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jutras's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Victor looking for a sweep. Not yet Victor, not yet.
Jutras makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jutras working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Victor pushes Jutras off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Victor tries to clinch there but Jutras circles away.
Victor with a poor takedown
and Jutras counters with a shoot takedown. Victor fights it but they end up in guard.
Jutras wants to control from the top but Victor keeps moving.
Jutras lands a couple of elbows.
Victor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jutras lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Victor is rocked!
Jutras lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oh Victor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jutras loads up on a big left hand. Victor felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Jutras looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Victor can't hide his disappointment, as Jutras celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benoit Jutras!
Benoit Jutras decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
