Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Caesar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vinnie Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caesar throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Caesar is just out of range.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses
and Caesar counters with a left and a right that stings Jones.
Jones takes a swing at Caesar's ribcage but misses.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Caesar.
Jones misses with a hook.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Jones defending well as Caesar loads up on a big left hand.
Vinnie Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caesar scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Vinnie Jones has been cut.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Caesar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Caesar is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caesar keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Caesar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.
Jones trying to control but Caesar is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vinnie Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Caesar sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Caesar trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones trying to mount his opponent but Caesar defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones is looking for submissions but instead, Caesar has regained full guard.
Caesar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jones working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jones throws an elbow that misses. Caesar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Caesar!

Jones has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Caesar doesn't defend quickly enough and Jones has managed to lock this one up! Can Caesar escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jones on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vinnie Jones!

Julius Caesar spoke after the fight, saying 'Et tu, Brute?'.
