Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Overeem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Blachowicz!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blachowicz lands a left and a right that send Overeem crashing to the mat, dazed. Blachowicz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Alistair Overeem has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Overeem shoots for a takedown but Blachowicz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Blachowicz rushes Overeem and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Overeem tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Blachowicz is looking to control Overeem's arms but Overeem gets an underhook and turns him. Now Blachowicz has his back to the cage.

Overeem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Blachowicz moves into range and clinches up with Overeem.
Blachowicz wants to break free but Overeem has control.
Blachowicz lands with a short shot to the head.

Overeem is rocked!
Overeem tries to land a knee to the head but Blachowicz blocks with his arms.
Oh Overeem is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Blachowicz gets control of Overeem's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blachowicz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Blachowicz with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Overeem can't handle though.

Blachowicz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Overeem frees his head nicely. Oh but Blachowicz has switched to an armbar! Overeem is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
