Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Cahill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Halmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terry Cahill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Terry Cahill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Seth Halmann!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Cahill.
Halmann slips under a jab from Cahill.
A telegraphed right hand from Cahill misses the target.
Halmann on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Cahill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Halmann.
Cahill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cahill scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Terry Cahill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cahill!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cahill connects with the punch.
Cahill misses with a looping right.
Cahill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Halmann.
Halmann takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cahill shoots in and drives through. Halmann sprawls well.

Cahill misses with a two punch combination.
Cahill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cahill throws a hook to the side of Halmann's head but Halmann sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Halmann avoids a kick to the body.
Halmann takes one to the chin there.
Halmann needs to keep his hands up - Cahill had a free shot at his head there.
Halmann takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cahill lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab from Cahill finds it's way through Halmann's defenses.
Halmann walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Halmann slips a jab from Cahill.
Cahill scores with a hook to the body. Halmann takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cahill tries for a takedown but Halmann circles away easily

and Halmann moves into the clinch.

Halmann pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halmann avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Cahill is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Halmann is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Halmann has escaped and now he's on top!
Cahill is trying to keep Halmann in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Halmann avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Halmann is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Halmann wants to control from the top but Cahill keeps moving.
Halmann slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Halmann tries to free his leg and advance position but Cahill is retaining full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Cahill looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Halmann passes into side control.
Cahill sneaks back into half guard.
Cahill is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Halmann moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Cahill.

Halmann is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cahill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terry Cahill dominated that round.
That's time! Cahill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cahill lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cahill swinging wildly here.
Cahill dips to his left and cracks Halmann with an uppercut!
Halmann on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Cahill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Halmann sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cahill somewhat.
Terry Cahill is winning the standup battle so far.

Cahill lands a left and a right that sends Halmann crashing to the canvas! Cahill dives into mount looking to finish!


Halmann is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cahill postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Halmann in real trouble here! The ref calls for Halmann to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Cahill!
