The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown. Henry tries to sprawl out of it but Gutierrez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Henry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gutierrez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Henry walks away with a smile on his face. Gutierrez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gutierrez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Henry stands and steps away. Gutierrez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gutierrez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Henry tries to avoid it but Gutierrez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Henry to the ground. Henry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gutierrez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gutierrez throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Henry crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Jose Gutierrez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
