Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keeping Promises (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Promises has chosen MegaDeth - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater tries for a takedown but Promises sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Promises wants to clinch.

Promises clinches with his opponent.
Slater misses with a hook from the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Slater.
Slater lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Promises backwards.

Slater is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Promises pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Promises takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Slater darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Slater is working for a submission of some sort.
Promises is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Slater looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slater is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Promises sees it coming and defends easily.
Promises really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slater. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Promises throws a nice outside leg kick.
Promises loads up on a big right hand but Slater slips the punch.
Slater digs a good body shot into Promises's ribs.

Promises throws a leg kick which misses Slater's front leg but catches the back leg as Slater tries to avoid it.

Slater darts in looking for a takedown but Promises gets double underhooks and turns Slater into the cage.

Slater breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slater dips to his left and cracks Promises with an uppercut!
Slater throws a good cross that connects.
Keeping Promises is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fighters circling - Promises throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Slater closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Slater working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A very excited looking Sterling Slater rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
