Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Wexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Jane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wexler comes to the cage accompanied by Go To Sleep - Eminem. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Patrick Jane was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wexler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jane moves away.
Wexler moves out of range of the body kick.
A big left from Jane misses.
Patrick Jane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wexler lands with a hook. Jane tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wexler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wexler.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jane. Wexler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wexler manages to avoid it.

Jane throws a lazy right hand but Wexler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jane lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wexler backs up against the cage.
Wexler lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jane feints and then cracks Wexler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wexler down.

Wexler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jane moves away.
Wexler wants to clinch.
Wexler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wexler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jane throws out the jab.
Wexler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jane defends well and Wexler ends up having to push Jane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jane lands a nice knee to the body.
Wexler is breathing heavily.

Jane takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jane throws a body punch but Wexler moves out of range.

No joy there for Jane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wexler takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jane fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jane stuns Wexler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wexler gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Wexler takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Wexler is trying to drag Jane to the mat but Jane just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wexler gets control of Jane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wexler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jane is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patrick Jane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jane moves into range and clinches up with Wexler.

Jane lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jane gets underhooks to prevent Wexler's takedown attempt.
Jane lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jane digs a right hand underneath Wexler's ribcage. Wexler let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Jane is pressed up against the cage. Wexler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jane down to the mat. Jane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Patrick Jane seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jane stuns Wexler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Patrick Jane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wexler needs to keep his hands up - Jane had a free shot at his head there.
Jane catches Wexler with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wexler drops his hands momentarily and Jane takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Wexler is rocked!
Jane drops Wexler with a huge uppercut! Wexler drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Jane is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Patrick Jane very nearly forgot to thank Reaper Combatwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
