Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leo Vanglski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitrij Vasilin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dmitrij Vasilin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitrij Vasilin!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vasilin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vanglski misses with a few strikes there.
Vanglski throws a series of punches but Vasilin moves out of range.

Vanglski throws out a loose jab but Vasilin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vanglski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vasilin avoids it really well and circles away.
Vanglski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Vanglski lands a really nice looking cross but Vasilin seems unphased.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Vanglski politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vanglski prefers to stall for the moment though.

Vanglski wants to control but Vasilin is keeping him busy.

Vasilin stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Vanglski sizes up Vasilin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Vasilin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vanglski circles away.

Vasilin gets caught flat footed, as Vanglski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Vanglski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Vanglski wants to control from the top but Vasilin keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leo Vanglski wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Vanglski darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Vanglski shoots for a double leg takedown but Vasilin sprawls well. He's pushed Vanglski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Vanglski dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Vanglski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vasilin doesn't seem bothered though.
Vanglski lunges at Vasilin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vasilin's hand.
Vanglski throws a nice looking combination but Vasilin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vanglski stalks Vasilin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vasilin's face. Vasilin staggers backwards, shaken.


Vasilin is rocked!

Vanglski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vanglski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Vasilin is still in real trouble! Can Vanglski finish him?
Vanglski in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Vasilin looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Vanglski turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leo Vanglski!
During a confident post fight interview, Leo Vanglski thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
