Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lue Goose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lue Goose!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Armstrong misses.
Armstrong misses with an uppercut.

Armstrong gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Goose blocking some punches.
I was talking to Armstrong's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Goose is trying to pull guard but Armstrong turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Goose tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Armstrong just stands there and leans against the cage.
Goose told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Armstrong prevents a takedown attempt there.
Eddie Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lue Goose.

Goose has Armstrong pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Armstrong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Goose is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Armstrong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Armstrong tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Goose's elbow.

Goose tries to score a body lock takedown but Armstrong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Armstrong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Goose's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goose slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Goose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Armstrong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Armstrong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Armstrong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Armstrong wants to control from the top but Goose keeps moving.
Armstrong trying to stand up but can't free himself from Goose's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Goose trying to control the position.
Armstrong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Goose wants to hit a switch here but Armstrong passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Goose there!
Armstrong is landing with some decent strikes but Goose is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Armstrong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Goose really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Armstrong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Goose looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Armstrong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
