Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Courtney Fleming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bodyslam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Bodyslam told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Courtney Fleming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Bodyslam!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fleming rushes Bodyslam and presses him up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Bodyslam fails to land.
Fleming lands an elbow inside that Bodyslam shrugs off.
Bodyslam's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Bodyslam wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fleming has him pressed against the cage.
Bodyslam tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fleming just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fleming is pressed up against the cage. Bodyslam has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fleming down to the mat. Fleming avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
An inside leg kick from Bodyslam misses.
Bodyslam gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bodyslam breaks the clinch.
Joe Bodyslam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bodyslam pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fleming back to the cage. Bodyslam follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bodyslam moves in looking to clinch but Fleming pushes him off.
Bodyslam lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fleming rushes Bodyslam and presses him up against the cage.
Bodyslam tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fleming smiles and moves away.
Courtney Fleming has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Bodyslam.
Fleming takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bodyslam tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fleming counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bodyslam won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bodyslam tries to bench press Fleming off him but Fleming keeps the position.
Fleming working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bodyslam manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fleming's best efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fleming thows a huge punch but Bodyslam dodges it nicely.
Fleming with the ground and pound but Bodyslam uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Fleming throws a big right hand that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bodyslam is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bodyslam working some strikes from top position.
Bodyslam trying to control the position from guard on top but Fleming is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bodyslam is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bodyslam trying to control but Fleming is working from the bottom.
Bodyslam thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fleming manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bodyslam fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bodyslam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fleming paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bodyslam darts in trying to clinch
and Fleming counters with a head kick. That will keep Bodyslam thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Fleming clinches up against the cage.
Fleming prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bodyslam is trying to force a seperation but Fleming has the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bodyslam can't get the takedown.
Stalling in the clinch from Fleming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joe Bodyslam will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fleming's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fleming moves into the clinch successfully.
Bodyslam is looking to take this one to the mat.
Fleming throws a punch but it's blocked by Bodyslam.
Bodyslam is trying to pull guard but Fleming turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bodyslam tries to break free but Fleming pushes him back against the cage.
Fleming really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bodyslam has a couple of punches blocked by Fleming.
Bodyslam jumps guard but Fleming turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Courtney Fleming has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Bodyslam.
Bodyslam jumps guard.
Fleming in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fleming working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fleming has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bodyslam wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fleming won't allow Bodyslam to sweep him here.
Bodyslam throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Fleming postures up and lands a big shot to Bodyslam's brow.
Bodyslam throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fleming working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bodyslam wants to sweep here but Fleming controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bodyslam escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fleming gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bodyslam wants to improve his position but instead Fleming has moved into half guard.
Bodyslam tries to get to full guard but Fleming has control of the leg.
Fleming will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bodyslam moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Joe Bodyslam has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bodyslam looking to control.
Fleming has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bodyslam to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fleming is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bodyslam pulls down on the head and he's put Fleming to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joe Bodyslam!
