The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsson throws an overhand right that lands on Tammih's shoulder, as Tammih tries to avoid the shot.
Tammih has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Axelsson digs a good body shot into Tammih's ribs.
Tammih takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Tammih darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Tammih is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Tammih is nestled in close to Axelsson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Tammih is keen to just control but Axelsson is a slippery customer.
