The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohen misses with a shot to the body
and Nogokushin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A head kick by Cohen misses
and Nogokushin counters with a stiff right hand.
Nogokushin throws a sloppy head kick and Cohen moves out of range easily.

Nogokushin shoots in and gets a takedown into Cohen's guard.
Nogokushin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nogokushin is staying tight to Cohen's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nogokushin wants to control but Cohen is keeping him busy.

Cohen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Nogokushin presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Cohen manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Cohen is staying active underneath Nogokushin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, if Nogokushin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Nogokushin decides to stand up.

Nogokushin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Cohen is trying to maintain the position but Nogokushin is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tatsuhiro Nogokushin.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cohen enables Nogokushin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cohen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cohen looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Nogokushin is defending well. Cohen quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nogokushin has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cohen celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
