Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Dolgopolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, German Dolgopolov!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis closes the distance but Dolgopolov moves to the side

and Dolgopolov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ellis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dolgopolov defends it easily.
Ellis trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Ellis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dolgopolov is one step ahead there.
Ellis is controlling Dolgopolov's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dolgopolov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ellis is proving hard to escape from.

Ellis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Dolgopolov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ellis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dolgopolov has managed to get both his arms back between Ellis's legs - danger averted.

Ellis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dolgopolov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ellis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dolgopolov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ellis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ellis is trying to keep Dolgopolov in close.

Ellis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dolgopolov is aware though and is defending well.

Ellis has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dolgopolov is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ellis stalling in the clinch but Dolgopolov improves position.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Ellis misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dolgopolov can't break the clinch.
Dolgopolov is pressed up against the cage. Ellis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dolgopolov down to the mat. Dolgopolov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dolgopolov but Dolgopolov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dolgopolov misses with the combination.
Dolgopolov throws a combination. Ellis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Andrew Ellis has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dolgopolov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dolgopolov lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Ellis can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Dolgopolov and Ellis drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Dolgopolov.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). German Dolgopolov!
