The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon shoots and misses

and Bell counters by moving into the clinch.
Bell wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Deleon taking a breather.
Deleon goes for a takedown attempt but Bell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bell throws a nice looking combination but Deleon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

so Bell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carol Deleon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bell gets to his feet - Deleon follows without any prompting.
Bell misses with a jab, cross combination.

Deleon doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bell.

Bell has Deleon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Deleon tumbling to the mat - Bell dives into Deleon's guard.
Deleon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bell has gone for a leg lock! Deleon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bell's guard.
Deleon throws a big right hand that misses.
Deleon is working Bell over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bell controls Deleon momentarily but Deleon frees himself.

Bell working for a triangle but Deleon defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bell wants to stand up but Deleon is controlling him.

Bell is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Deleon rolls with it to try and escape but Bell cranks on the arm and Deleon is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
