Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimbo Slice is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carwin.
Slice darts in looking for a takedown but Carwin gets double underhooks and turns Slice into the cage.
Carwin digs a right hand into Slice's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Slice's gas tank.
Slice tries for a takedown but Carwin manages to get underhooks.

Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A combination from Slice does no damage.
Slice tries to clinch there but Carwin circles away.
Carwin avoids a punch combination nicely.

Carwin clinches up with Slice and pushes him back against the cage.
Carwin has had enough of the clinch but Slice keeps him there for the moment.
A frustrated look appears on Carwin's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Slice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carwin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimbo Slice.
Slice wants a takedown but no success here.
Slice trying to control the position but instead, Carwin has worked for underhooks and has pushed Slice into the cage.

Carwin has clasped his hands together around Slice's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Carwin is trying to get an arm triangle but Slice is defending well.

Slice pushes Carwin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Carwin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Slice sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Slice slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Slice looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carwin is one step ahead there.

Slice is looking for a triangle but Carwin pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slice utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Slice is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Carwin frees his head nicely. Oh but Slice has switched to an armbar! Carwin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Kimbo Slice tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
